This portal provides information about the rights and processes related to patients in the ambulatory mental health system.

Ambulatory mental health services are outpatient treatments which allow those suffering from Mental Health issues to receive psychiatric help while remaining in the community. The system includes: clinical therapy, day care services in the community and an emergency unit. As of 01.07.2015 the obligation to provide mental health services has been transferred from the Ministry of Health to the health funds (kupot cholim). Mental health treatments are now given in mental health clinics and in outpatient clinics run by the health funds, the Ministry of Health and other organizations. For more information see Questions and answers relating to the Mental Healthcare reform on the Ministry of Health website.
