The Ministry of Health runs free clinics to diagnose and treat STDs and to increase public awareness regarding contracting these diseases.

  • The clinics provide a solution for people who have contracted STDs and can not turn to the existing treatment frameworks due to the lack of medical insurance, the shame of seeing a family doctor, etc.
  • The services provided at clinics are:
    • A package of diagnostic tests, including blood, urine, and throat cultures, as needed to check for the following diseases: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, AIDS (HIV).
    • Medications for treatment.
    • Advice and support.
    • Guidance on protected sex and sexually transmitted diseases.
  • All services are provided free of charge and anonymously to all who request, regardless of age, sex, health insurance, civil status or occupation.
