Introduction:

Ambulances operated by assistance organizations provide transportation in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh free or charge or for a nominal fee
The service must be ordered at least one day in advance and patients must have someone to accompany them
When requesting the service, it is important to indicate whether transfer by stretcher/wheelchair is required; in most cases the ambulance crew will not go up stairs

Ambulances operated by charitable, assistance, and volunteer organizations, provide free transportation (or transportation for nominal fees) to patients who need to go to and from hospitals and other medical facilities for treatment.
