Routine vaccinations are given to infants and children below school age at the Family Health Centers (Tipat Halav) free of charge.

  • School aged children will receive their age appropriate vaccinations through the school system.

Who is Eligible?

  • The general population.

How to Claim It?

  • Bring your child to you local Tipat Chalav to receive the age appropriate vaccination. Click here to find the Tipat Chalav closest to where you live.
  • If a health fund (Kupat Cholim) operates a Tipat Chalav in a specific community, it must provide services to people insured by other kupot cholim as well if the other kupat cholim do not operate a Tipat Chalav in that community.
  • When the child gets his/her first vaccination the parents will receive a vaccination record booklet. Every vaccination is recorded in the booklet and it must be brought every time the child receives a vaccine.
  • In any case of injury, the booklet must be presented to the doctor in order to prevent unnecessary vaccination.

  • A person can not be forced to receive a vaccination and minors require parental consent. For more information see the Informed Consent for Medical Treatment page.
  • Nevertheless, the Ministry of Health strongly recommends vaccinating according to the routine plan, in order to prevent unnecessary and even dangerous illness.
